Corona virus

Corona virus (CoV) belongs from a large viruses that cause an illness from ranging from acute disease (common cold) to chronic disease (Middle east respiratory system (MERS-CoV) ) and can cause Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrom (SARS-CoV) A novel corona virus (nCoV) is a new strain that has been previously not diagnose in humans.

Corona virus are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between homo sapiens and animalia. An investigation has been done on SARS-CoV and the result was very amazing that it has been transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV transmitted from Dromedary camels. Several more  Corona virus are circulating animal that have not infected humans.

Common signs/symptoms:

common signs of infection including respiratory system, fever, cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. In several cases it can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and in some cases it may even lead to death.

Standard recommendation to prevent it?

To prevent it from spreading we must include all these things from our day to day life.
  • Regular hand washing
  • covering mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing,
  • thoroughly cooking meat or egg
Avoid close contact with anyone who is showing of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

Epic center corona virus is Wuhan of china.

The corona virus has outbreak of 362 people killed in china and globally more than 17,300

The virus has spread over more than 25 countries and territories.

The first Indian state that was affected due to corona virus was Kerala.

The Paradox of Behavior Change

The Paradox of Behavior Change

What does a paradox means?

Ans) A seemingly absurd or contradictory statement or proposition which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true.

Now, here it comes about  Paradox of Behavior Change

The natural tendency of life is to find stability. In biology we refer to this process as equilibrium or homeostasis.
For example, consider your blood pressure. When it dips too low, your heart rate speeds up and nudges your blood pressure back into a healthy range. When it rises too high, your kidneys reduce the amount of fluid in the body by flushing out urine. All the while, your blood vessels help maintain the balance by contracting or expanding as needed.
The human body employs hundreds of feedback loops to keep your blood pressure, body temperature, glucose levels, calcium levels, and many other processes at a stable equilibrium.
In his book,Mastery, martial arts master George Leonard points out that our daily lives also develop their own levels of homeostasis. We fall into patterns for how often we do (or don't) exercise, how often we do (or don't) clean the dishes, how often we do (or don't) call our parents, and everything else in between. Over time, each of us settles into our own version of equilibrium.
Like your body, there are many forces and feedback loop that moderate the particular equilibrium of your habits. Your daily routines are governed by the delicate balance between your environment, your genetic potential, your tracking methods, and many other forces. As time goes on, this equilibrium becomes so normal that it becomes invisible. All of these forces are interacting each day, but we rarely notice how they shape our behaviors.
That is, until we try to make a change.

Fake "Download" Buttons.

Google Will Now Warn You About Sites With Fake "Download" Buttons.

Finding the right download button on a website is the least fun version of hide and seek ever invented. Now, Google’s taking action to warn users when sites engage in this kind of deceptive behavior.

As Google explains on its Online Security Blog, sites with any kind of ads that deceptively try to mimic actual site functionality will now be counted as “social engineering.” This includes fake download buttons, warnings that software you don’t have is “out of date”, and fake notifications to update things like Flash player. When a site uses these tricks, Google will display a big red warning before a user visits the site. Hopefully this will discourage shadier sites from using underhanded tactics to trick users into clicking on ads, or at least prevent users from getting duped.

Fingerprint sensors under the display are going to be a real thing in 2020

Fingerprint sensors under the display are going to be a real thing in 2020

Synaptics, the company responsible for handling the touch input on millions of laptop trackpads and smartphone screens, has announced this week that it’s entered mass production with its first optical in-display fingerprint sensors. Titled Clear ID, these are expected to work exactly like the home button fingerprint sensors you might have known on Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S phones before this year’s Galaxy S8 and on Apple’s iPhones before the latest iPhone X. Only they’ll be more magical because you’ll be able to authenticate by pressing on the actual display part of the touchscreen.

It was exactly a year ago today that Synaptics first announced its FS9100 optical fingerprint sensor “family.” At the time, it was merely a technological breakthrough — more a statement of intent than a forthcoming real-world product — and subsequent events have shown that there were issues with the implementation of that tech, which reportedly forced Samsung into a last-minute change with its flagship Galaxy smartphone. Samsung wanted to have a bezel-free front on its phones without losing the front-facing biometric ID function, however the integration of the optical fingerprint reader didn’t go to plan and Samsung had to put in an awkwardly-placed fingerprint sensor on the rear of its 2017 flagships.

Today’s FS9500 Clear ID, on the other hand, is going into full production with what Synaptics describes as “a top five OEM,” meaning it’s either Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Oppo / Vivo, or Xiaomi. Synaptics’ prior history of working with Samsung and the specific callout of “OLED infinity displays” in Synaptics’ press release (Samsung calls its bezel-less Galaxy S8 and Note 8 screens “infinity displays”) would suggest the two companies might once again be working on solving the seeming intractable issues of 2017. Then again, Samsung was reported to be moving away from Synaptics this summer, so nothing can be known for sure. Xiaomi is certainly a good candidate to be the mysterious OEM partner, given how much it loves to embrace new tech early and its history of bezel-less flagships with the Mi Mix line.

Whichever company might be partnering with Synaptics now, it’s almost certain that more will follow as 2018 goes along. There’s a definite futuristic quality to being able to authenticate directly through the display, and UI designers would also find it easier to explain the function to neophyte users — so the demand and appreciation for this kind of technology is already out there. It was supposed to be one of the highlight features of 2017 flagships, but now that the kinks seem to have been ironed out, the promise is shaping up to finally come to fruition next year.
